You're the reason why most mods are half-baked and never updated. Go learn 3D modeling, texturing, how the beam mod system works, then release a fully-working vehicle with all functionality available without issues, and support it through multiple versions of beam. The Scout is not perfect, and I have very minor requests (which I have voiced, and they are planned in an update), but damn, if you think this is "shit", you best leave now because nothing but tireless perfection for no benefit will please you, and that's not fair for the creator. Most are just fine with releasing totally broken cars (I had one I tested a couple days ago at a players request, that spawned several engine parts and began to fly away - this was a land vehicle). So it's not 'paid is better', but 'passion is better'.įinding a creator who actually takes pride in their creations is, surprisingly, really rare (mostly with cars, but also maps get neglected and abandoned, never fixed). Most other cars have slight issues, and even paid mods that I paid double the cost for the Picnic and the Scout, have glaring issues, and I don't run those on my server, even if players own it. We currently have 15, with 2 of then being LucasBE (if you already have your own paid copy, it shows in the server). Have you actually checked the functionality of most cars, either on the repo/forum or 3rd party sites? I run a server which hosts cars that meet a 'minor issues or better only' policy, and have tested almost 100 cars since the new year.
